Sensei Allen Roth, Sandan

Email

Allen started his study of the martial arts in the style of Tae Kwon Doh at age 11. During his teenage years, he made the rounds of the regional tournament circuit and earned a spot to compete in the National AAU Martial Arts Tournament in Washington DC, for both Kata and Kumitae. After achieving this goal, Allen diversified his training by studying Gushin Kun Doh, and Krav Maga. In his college years, he was part of The Ohio State University Shai Chao Kung Fu club studying under Master Danny Wei.

After an absence from Martial Arts to pursue his career and a family, Allen returned with his son and later his daughter to study Tai Shin Doh, and Tai Shin Jitsu with Soke Ron Balas. More recently, Allen has coordinated adult self-defense training classes and started a successful Karate program at the Young Israel of Cleveland. He enjoys passing on his Martial Arts knowledge along side Soke Balas and his son.
